TVP Acquires Aerial Mast Technology

TVP have recently invested in aerial mast technology enabling us to carry out detailed roof inspections from ground level. The aerial mast can be manually extended to heights ranging from 2 metres up to 15 metres and the design of the mast allows erection on any surface or gradient regardless of ground conditions.

Considering and mitigating health and safety risks is vital when carrying out high level surveys. Health and Safety Executive statistics indicate that on average 12 people a year die at work falling from ladders and over 1200 people suffer major injury from such events. The aerial mast eliminates the requirement for ladders thus enabling site risks to be vastly reduced. Additionally aerial mast technology can eliminate the need for access scaffold or cherry pickers which can be very expensive to hire and time consuming to arrange.

TVP is currently working with a number of clients to providing a fast response inspection service using these aerial masts. These commissions involve TVP carrying out detailed roof inspections of residential and commercial properties where a potential insured loss has occurred and an active insurance claim is ongoing.

Our surveyors are able to visit site, carry out a high level inspection and assess the extent of the damage to the property. Photographs of the damage can then be sent direct to the client from site along with a report and a works schedule highlighting any remedial works that need to be carried out. All of this information is then transmitted via a laptop utilising mobile 3G technology to our clients.
