Construction Act Seminars view comments

You will no doubt have read that the Local Democracy, Economic Development & Construction Act 2009 comes in to effect from 1 October 2011.

The new Act makes a number of significant  changes to the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996, including a new mandatory payment regime (which will be sure to catch out the unprepared) and fundamental changes to statutory adjudication and suspension rights.

To prepare clients for these changes TVP has prepared a seminar specifically addressing these important issues. The seminar is designed to be an interactive session which explains the changes to the existing legislation in plain English.

The seminar can be delivered at clients premises, or ours if preferred.  Each attendee will receive a copy of the slides, a copy of the Local Democracy, Economic Development & Construction Act 2009 and a tracked amended copy of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996.  The cost for this seminar is £750.00 plus VAT.

As an alternative to the update seminar, we can deliver a full seminar on the mandatory payment, adjudication and suspension provisions of Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 (as amended by Local Democracy, Economic Development & Construction Act 2009) together with a review of the amended Scheme For Construction Contracts.  The cost for this seminar is £950.00 plus VAT.

If this is of interest to you or your company, please feel free to get in touch with us on 0845 504 9733.
