Health and Safety

 

It is the policy of The Vinden Partnership Limited that all work shall be carried out within the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and all other relevant Acts, regulations, statutory provisions and Codes of Practice.

 
Directors, together with Management staff, are responsible for implementing the Policy within their office. The overall responsibility for co-ordinating and implementing the Policy remains the direct responsibility of Mr Peter Vinden who is the Director in charge of Safety to formulate strategy and make regular reports to the other Directors and Management Staff.
 
The Director in charge of Safety, supported by office safety management staff, monitors the implementation of the Policy and advises and instructs on safe working and design practices. The Policy and strategy are kept under constant review.
 
Every employee’s duty under Section 7 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, is to maintain the highest standards of safety and to comply fully with the Act and the provisions laid down within the Policy.
 
The Directors acknowledge that safety training and incorporation of matters of Health and Safety into our work documents is an essential ingredient in helping to establish a safe system of working practices and will ensure that training of employees in Health and Safety requirements will be provided as and when appropriate.
 
The Directors responsible for matters of Health and Safety will meet not less than three times per year.
 
The Directors and Management Staff of The Vinden Partnership Limited are constantly striving to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety of all its employees and others who may be affected by its operations.  They recognise that the success of this Policy depends on the combined efforts of all individuals and will support any individual encountering difficulties in implementing the Policy.
