Managing Director
Peter is an experienced professional in the construction industry with particular expertise in quantity surveying and the commercial management of contracting organisations. Skilled in claims preparation, the drafting of expert reports and the writing of contractual and commercial procedures, Peter is also an accomplished seminar presenter, contract drafter, adjudicator, and advisor on alternative dispute resolution techniques and business strategy.
Peter is a very experienced mediator and court expert with specialist knowledge of all aspects of the construction industry. He also has substantial experience in corporate recovery and restructures of businesses involved or allied to the construction industry.

Peter joined TVP in 1995 to develop and expand the Quantity Surveying department within the company. With over 30 years industry experience, Peter has worked on a wide variety of construction and civil engineering projects with values ranging from £50,000 to £150m in both the UK and overseas.
Chris Duffill DipSurv ICIOB MRICS ACIArb
Director
Chris has over 25 years experience in the construction industry previously in the roles of Commercial Development Director. Chris has a proven track record in commercial and project management, cost control, cost reporting and contractual litigation. He has a thorough understanding of the design and construction process and an ability to lead successful contract negotiations at a senior level, involving both technical and commercial issues.
Iain Mowat BSc(Hons) MRICS
Managing Consultant
Iain is a Quantity Surveyor experienced in all contractual and commercial aspects of Private and Public Sector projects who possesses particular experience in the residential sector, hotel, leisure and Aviation industries.
Additionally, Iain has considerable experience in the role of project manager delivering turnkey solutions to a wide range of clients. Possessing over 15 years of experience, Iain is well placed to advise on the key aspects of any construction project.
Chris Milnes BSc(Hons) MSc MRICS
Head of Building Surveying
Chris joined TVP in 2003 to set up and develop a Building Surveying department within the company.
Chris is an experienced Building Surveyor, with particular expertise in structural and defect diagnosis and safety, health and environment issues. Chris also has considerable experience of the investigation, negotiation and resolution of technical and construction related claims and preparation of expert witness reports for litigation or dispute resolution procedures and protocols.
Karen Assiak BSc

Karen is a quantity surveyor with over 25 years experience gained in building and civil engineering disciplines with national to medium sized contractors and subcontractors.
Karen heads up our Corporate Recovery team which has the expertise to review and advise companies on how best to negotiate their way out of the many difficult circumstances that are becoming increasingly more prevalent. The Corporate Recovery team is highly specialised in working alongside Insolvency Practitioners on construction industry related cases, providing professional advice and assistance in order to maximise realisations for the benefit of all concerned.

Paul has over 25 years of consultancy experience, dealing with all aspects of project management, commercial management and client liaison within various market sectors in the UK and western Europe.
Ian Burnell BSc(Hons) MSc
Regional Director
Ian has over 30 years of experience as a quantity surveyor in the construction industry and has worked through different levels of management from site clerk to commercial director and operations director. Ian has experience in the civil engineering, utilities, marine engineering and building sectors. Ian has specific practical experience of preparing, defending and settling claims and contractual disputes by negotiation and by adjudication, arbitration and court. In addition, he has led commercial audits and the procurement of large outsourcing projects for various client organisations, involving the development and agreement of bespoke contract terms to suit particular business needs.
David Hollingsworth BSc(Hons) RMaPS MRICS
Managing Consultant
David leads the building surveying team in Nottingham. He is a chartered building surveyor with exceptional technical skills, wide ranging experience and knowledge of legislation.
David is an experienced party wall surveyor and as a member of the RICS Expert Witness Registration Scheme he also regularly receives instructions to provide expert evidence in cases involving disputed boundaries, construction standards / workmanship and other building related disputes.
Paul Clarkson BSc FCIOB MRICS MCMI
Managing Consultant
Paul is a widely experienced professional in the construction industry, with over 30 years practical experience. He has particular expertise in project management and quantity surveying for both partnering and design and build contracts on major projects.
Additional experience has also been gained as Regional Managing Director for mixed/residential developments and Director of a Housing Association providing affordable/social housing in the Midlands. Paul has also worked as Head of Public Services for a Local Authority providing planned maintenance and responsive repairs for housing stock.
